Mathematical methods and models of traffic flow management

چکیده

An overview of existing mathematical models traffic flows is presented. Various macroscopic and microscopic are considered, which make it possible to calculate the congestion road transport networks. The basic principles their application significant differences between them analyzed. Based on considered models, a model rebuilding vehicles lanes proposed.

Mathematical Optimizationg models for Air Traffic Flow Management: A review

Congestion problems are becoming increasingly acute in many European and American airports and air sectors. To protect Air Traffic Control (ATC) from overload a planning activity called Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) tries to anticipate and prevent overload and limit resulting delays. When the traffic expects to exceed the airport arrival and departure capacities or the airsector capacity a...

Traffic Flow Management Using Aggregate Flow Models and the Development of Disaggregation Methods

A linear time-varying aggregate traffic flow model can be used to develop Traffic Flow Management strategies based on optimization algorithms. However, there are no methods available in the literature to translate these aggregate solutions into actions involving individual aircraft. This paper describes and implements a computationally efficient disaggregation algorithm, which converts an aggre...

Traffic Flow Analysis Based on Queuing Models

One of the most important issues in the plant layout design especially in mass production organizations with high inter-plant logistics is‘material flow and inter-plant traffic analysis and its effects on the production capabilities or pauses in production lines. In this paper the inter-plant traffic analysis issue on the basis of single channel queue model (M/M/1) is analyzed in a carmaker c...

Entropy methods for kinetic models of traffic flow

In these notes we first introduce logarithmic entropy methods for time-dependent driftdiffusion equations and then consider a kinetic model of Vlasov-Fokker-Planck type for traffic flows. In the spatially homogeneous case the model reduces to a special type of nonlinear drift-diffusion equation which may permit the existence of several stationary states corresponding to the same density. Then w...
